Patagonian guide Mariano Cash is a native of Argentina and has been leading trips in Patagonia since 1998. He is a certified in Leave No Trace camping, and as a Wilderness First Responder.
He has trained in glacial traversing and rescue techniques. He has also worked as a kayaking guide in the USA, Costa Rica, Zimbabwe, India and Turkey. His Swift Water Rescue courses levels 1 and 2 enhance Mariano’s vast experience in the field.
Besides being an experienced trekker and kayaker, Mariano also enjoys mountain biking and rock climbing. He is fluent in English and Spanish.
When asked about why he chooses a career as a guide he said simply: “I love introducing people to the outdoors and Patagonia!”
